Geeking Off 153: 2016 Cinema Extravaganza of Festival and Award and Preview

Jeremy, Jon and Scott discuss movies with a quickie talk about the pre-Oscars (including a very white version of some of the controversy) along with Sundance talk and anticipation of some of the upcoming movies for this year. A year from now we'll look back on all this with some pretty intense hilarity.

Geeking Off 152: Star Wars Episode VI Return of the Jedi Commentary

Our final Star Wars commentary is behind us! We had some outside commentary suggesting that this one is the best. Admittedly, it is pretty good. Very nice to see this one again. It's actually been a lonely long time since I've seen it.

One thing that has been pointed out to me that I forgot to mention about this movie -- notice how the evil Empire always takes prisoners, but the good Rebellion always shoots to kill.

Film starts at 3:07

Geeking Off 151: The Force Awakens Trailer Talk

This one's long overdue. Fresh off our Empire Strikes Back commentary, we spill into a somewhat ignorant analysis of the main Episode VII trailer. Yeah, that one that has the Empire Strikes Back music in it -- not the international one. We also provide somewhat of a wishlist for the new movie. It's coming soon and I for one have never been more skeptical of how good the movie can possibly be.

Geeking Off 150: Star Wars Episode V The Empire Strikes Back Commentary

Jon, Scott and Phil for this movie commentary. Empire's considered the best. Does it hold up? What hasn't been said. Listen and watch if for no other reason that it's a great flick.

Watch The Empire Strikes Back along with us. Movie starts at 1:27.

Geeking Off 149: Steph-Con 1

Hey hey, we're taking a short break from the Star Wars commentaries just a tiny bit. This one here's a one-on-one with Jon and our visiting Geeking Off girl Stephanie to talk a couple of quick things. Salt Lake's Comic Con happened a couple of weeks ago and both of us have a mild report of what we saw. Hey, ever hear of a hot new TV show called Mr. Robot? Well, you probably should. Anyway, that's our second topic.

Mr. Robot spoilers start at 41:14

Geeking Off 148: Star Wars Commentary

That's right. Not Episode IV. Not A New Hope. Star Wars.

We watch the original theatrical version with its lovable flaws and all. You'll hear five voices: Madbeard, Zo, Steele, Chad and Phil. Yep. It's a Star Wars party.

I don't think Luke is that whiney. Listen in.

Geeking Off 147: Star Wars Episode III Commentary

We continue the Star Wars commentary with Episode III! Is this the best or worst of the prequels? It starts with a huge battle, but then again that battle has a coughing robot. It's grittier, but then again it's more CGI-y. Hayden Christensen's even whinier, but then again his hair is pretty fabulous.

Phil joins again along with Chad and Steele. Joy abounds.
