Geeking Off 118: 2012 Movies (the best and the rest)
The best movies of 2012. You know what that means. Lots and lots and lots of talking about Pitch Perfect. Arguments ensue. Tears are shed. Stop reading and get listening. This one's over two hours, folks.

ReplyDeleteIt was good listening to this podcast, not only because we've all been in a geeking-off dry spell for two months, but also there were a ton of movies i never would have given a chance from 2012. First off, Looper, I did see it only recently, (bluray) and I was blown away. Its hard to make a time-machine movie that isnt cliche, but this one was an original. Probably my number 1 for 2012. on the opposite side of the spectrum was Dredd. Pile of shit. Didnt need to be made. Worse than Kony.
Im also glad more was said about Cabin in the Woods. It was my number 2. It had been brushed over in previous podcasts, but it was nice to know that you guys consent that it was up there for 2012.
Number 3. Samsara. It was released in 2011, but i watched it in early 2013. So with some minor adjustments, its a 2012 movie to me.
Thats all I wanted to say.
