Robocop Commentary

Dear Listeners,

Robocop commentary. You're welcome. We watched the unrated version of this Verhoeven film. i don't know if I spelled his name right, I could barely pronounce it during the commentary. The unrated version of Robocop compared to the theatrical release is like comparing a duster with a regular jacket. Longer, thicker and far more bad ass. But seriously there was way more blood in a selected few scenes. The more blood when Murph is gunned down, the better. I am still convinced the bullets were the only things keeping him standing. But I'm no physicist. Scott is, cause he is nerdier than me/us. We are sans Chad but plus Justin and Jen, cousin and wife. It was a silent contest between the two until about halfway through. No animals were harmed during the making of this podcast, but only a few were tested on.

Super 8

I am so terrible at posting these podcasts in an orderly fashion. We talked Super 8 like four weeks ago. Super 8 had one of the most intriguing trailers that we had seen in quite some time. We were all there and all square, chatting what we liked and didn't like. Zo thought that it was great, and he rarely misses, and he nails it this time. I hope that w can hear Jeremy, Chad and Scott, so when they talk lean near the speaker, cause the 3 of them spit hot fire. So crack a window a window it is gonna reek of awesomeness and originality.

X-Men First Class-Bender

The new X-Men. How terrible would it be? Pretty unterrible, actually. The production value was very high and the story was well thought out. We discuss what we liked and didn't like and how it compared to the previos X-men movies. I will say that as i have looked at boxofficemojo.com, the numbers show that it clearly the worst performing of the four. And for the record my sweet wife stated that Michael F Assbender would make a great Bond and I totally agree.

Thor!

We talked Thor forever ago, but some jerk did not post it. Turns out that I am a total procrastinator and have no sense of posting urgency. I am posting this under threats of murderdeathkill from Mad Beard. We talk Thor, what we expected and what it delivered. And for the record Thor was amazing.

Sweaty Guys and Music

We podcasted this forever ago, like three weeks and now my lazy ass is finally posting it. I need to be more on top of things. Yes this podcast is called Sweaty Dudes and Music, cause we cover these two most important genres in pop culture. Don't question me, I am offended that you questioned me. Anyway, loyal follower, this is a gem. We obviously crack wise at Mad Beard's vampirical aging, we gather deep insight from our beloved Jeremy (man crush) and give some rather sophisticated insight on all things geeky.

Enjoy!

Commando Commentary

Buddies! It has been so long that I have posted a podcast it makes me sick. I have so many good excuses, none of them good. Yeah I said it, you wanna fight about it? We watch Commando the perennial Dick Flick and we make awesome comments. Why the hell wouldn't you listen to this podcast? It's free AND awesome unlike so many things in this dreary world. Come take solace in Geeking Off we are your nerdy safe haven.

So Say We All (except Zo)

In this podcast we discuss a husky boy who pulled a muscle while eating. Said boy (Zo) did not join us for the first time ever. Dare we go on? Yes. Dare we make fun of the podcast's founder? Obviously. Also a bunch of impressions from four guys who aren't as familiar with Battlestar Galactica as the rest of society. As a bonus, Jeremy joined us once more and we got the inside track on The Book of Mormon: The Musical AND some behind the scenes juice about Jeremy's upcoming cartoon television production starring Aaron Ruell.

Film Ideas Pitch Meeting

The premise of this week's Geeking Off was the pitching of ideas for our next few films. Being amateur filmmakers is a lot of fun but it all starts with a good idea. Some ideas were actually something that we all get excited for, namely the 80's montage idea with fight scenes, assy music, and lots of slow motion. This is a fun one, so Enjoy and know that our next great film is "Just around the River Bend!" Gay.

Sundance Festival

Ok Boy and Girls. This a special episode of Geeking Off! As a guest podcaster we have our buddy Jeremy Coon, the editor and producer of Napolean Dynamite, talking about upcoming movies, those from 2010, and some interesting experiences that he has had. I also get after him for being a humble guy when he should be more douchey.

It is a good time this week as we talk about some of the movies that we are looking forward to seeing at this year's festival. We also give some picks for the Academy Awards, because no other podcast has ever thought of doing that.

It was MLK day so we got crunked up in this B$%ch!!

That was a lie, but we had a good old time talking movies and being semi-fiendish

Enjoy!

The Best and Some of the Worst of 2010

We are talking about the most original subject ever! The movies we loved and hated and thought were ok of 2010.

Wait a minute.
Hold on.
Just a moment.

You mean every other podcast in history does this at the end of every year?! Weird. Original or not it is still pretty funny and insightful for those that are not up to date on all 500 movies that came out in 2010.

Enjoy!

The Ultimate Video Games List

This is the List of our Ultimate Video Games. Now be warned non-Geeks this podcast in particular is not for the faint of heart or the mature of mental capacity. Seriously we out-geek ourselves, especially Mad Beard, who proves to all of the world why he is still happily free from the confines of the female constraints, i.e. Single. I will say that he is quite a catch for some lucky lady, but if a lady besides Jaime is reading this, then you have just promised your hand to our Bearded One. He is Wolverine in the picture below this blog.

That was a rant folks.

Tron/christmas

Yes it is Tron and it is Christmas, just a few weeks late. Merry Christmas! Just think of this as the Christmas gift that keeps on giving the whole year round
