We are talking Gears and Tron, does it get any better than that? No, it doesn't get any geekier either. It will be the best thing you ever heard about anything ever. There are all sorts of nerdy tangents in this podcast, so Enjoy!

Leprechaun DVD Commentary
Leprechaun! It's November, but this one's a leftover from Halloween season. Also, most of us were watching it for the first time. This movie is so terrible that it's actually the best movie ever made if that's even possible, which it is.
This particular commentary is a simulcast of the Jon Madsen Movie Commentary Podcast.

October Fright Nights Wrap-up
Well we finished the month of October in one piece, despite all of the slashing and body snatching that took place around us. This is a good finish to an even better month, thank you to those that participated in our Sunday night frights.
Enjoy

Invasion of the Werewolf
So it starts off kind of offensive this week. I make some macabre jokes. But it works. We talk Invasion of the Body Snatchers, American Werewolf in London, The Legend of Sleepy Hollow (Disney) and other assorted topics. We really missed Scotty Boy this week, that being said it is pretty damn funny.

October Fright Nights
So October or the month of Halloween as it should be called is the best time of year. As Mad Beard puts it," it is the last bastion against Christmas," with all of its terrible marketing and music. My thoughts are we should combine Oktoberfest with Halloween. Ghouls and ghosts with sausage and streudel? Is there anything better? It makes sense.
This is our kickoff of our scary movie nights and we discuss the first movie watching of Halloween. We cover Ju-On, Abbott and Costello Meet Frankenstein and Let Me In. Way to go Hammer films on the fabulous remake of the popular Swedish film.

(re-post) Geeking Off 1 (part 2)
(We're re-posting this old Geeking Off so it will show up in iTunes)
And so the saga begins. In the premiere episode of the "greatest" nerd podcast of all time, we cover several topics. We start with the Marvel Universe as it has been created through this new family of movies. My personal thoughts are that Ironman has been the perfect vehicle for this Hero-verse. How does this new universe stack up to the one that we have had in the comics? What about all of the terrible Marvel movies that we have had to put up with since Spiderman 3, except for Daredevil... We talk about DC and Warner Bros. and the great partnership that they have with both movies and television,i.e. BATMAN T.A.S. which happens to be the greatest animated show of all time. I think that we go off on tangents the entire episode, both part I and II, covering everything. This is so good it will make you pregnant with awesomeness.

Episode IV: DC Universe (part 1)
In which we mostly talk about Superman.
Why is Superman such an iconic figure in our culture as well as globally? The Man of Steel has literally come to represent all of the values that we deem as our own as Americans. He represents who we strive to be. So how is it that an illegal alien has come to mean so much to us as a people?
Many people love the Son of Krypton for his integrity and the unwavering way in which he upholds truth, justice and "the american way". He also has the best powers ever. There are many people that don't like him, because of his values and the amount of powers that he holds. We hotly debate Kal-El and our feelings towards him. This is an awesome episode, so frigging listen to it.

Episode III: David Lynch-able
This is the only podcast episode ever where both Lost Highway and the Expendables were the main reasons for podcasting. Ever. Did I say ever? Ever.
Lost Highway was hands down the biggest WTF?! film I have ever seen. Ever. I'm sorry WE, that We have ever seen. The entire movie I was so confused, and flat out did not like it at all. Honestly I can not believe that I finished it, awake. I left the theater, Brewvies, glad that it was Monday Free Movie Night. If I had paid for it I would have pulled the eyes out of a homeless midget. Not only was I confused but I was obviously bitter, so bitter, to my core.
It wasn't until I got home with my buddies and did the podcast that I grew to love this movie. I'm sorry, WE. After talking about this movie and recording our thoughts for all to hear, we all grew to appreciate the complexity of not only the story contained within, but the techniques used to tell this far-fetched tale. Seriously watch this movie and listen to our podcast. This movie will have you saying WTF for the entire two hours. That is a personal guarantee. Oh and for the record Patricia Arquette was a fox in the day, and I always seem to forget that. Her show The Medium is terrible. Bill Pullman is a squinty-eyed bastard who actually acted for this movie, David Lynch you did the impossible. Robert Blake looked like Buffalo Bill's creepy uncle who played naked fondle touch tag with him as a child in a basement with a well.
The Expendables on the other hand was the least complex thing I ever saw. That movie was so good it still amazes me that it hasn't won every award that has ever been given out. What a joyous ride of happiness for me, Zo, the king of dick flicks and action awesome. It was crammed full of every action star that was relevant at one time, except Dolph, who was never relevant, and Chuck, who's relevancy has lowered the crime rate everywhere except African diamond mines. Van Damme was also not in this movie, because he wants to be taken more seriously, what a douche! You're biggest film was Timecop!
This film has everything that anyone could ever want. Explosions, Stallone shirtless, Rourke's terrible fingers and a montage of planting explosives. Stallone in all of his action nobility is able to throw in a few of his deep emotional sensiblities through terribly executed quips. Good. Good. He tries to connect with the American audience with spouting off deep thoughts as people are being blown in half with shotties and stabbed in the face with knives, I mean swords. This movie kicked ass and destroyed an island and its people. Run to see it!

Episode II: Marvel-ous
In this 'cast we talk about the Marvel Universe more in depth and the fascinating structure that Stan Lee has created in both comics and now these newest flicks. We talk about the X-Men and how they have developed and grown in to arguably the most iconic team of superheros ever. I mean besides the 1985 Bears. Mad Beard has been reading the X-Men since issue #1, so he is able to give us valuable insight on the creation of this unique universe. Way to Nerd sir.
Why are Marvel movies so good now as opposed to all of the previous movies? Why is this new Avengers family of movies so important for Marvel and how have they saved this company? Listen to our two part episode and learn the answers to these questions..... And More!

The Definition of the word I
For clarification to all of you future listeners, when I say "I" in my posts I mean Me, Mad Beard, Chaddy and Scott. I find it difficult to type in we on a consistent basis so bear with me as I get in to the groove of things. Listening to this podcast is the definition of the Italian phrase, "La Dolce Vita!" "The Sweet Life!"

Post-Episode Thoughts
As I listened to the first 'cast it got me thinking about the importance of themes and organization. I was thinking that we would jump around from topic to topic to help give you, as the listener, a feel for what we are about. It will be more concise as we move forward, but for those of you who know me personally I tend to rant/go off topic.
I hope for this to be a well-rounded podcast covering a broad range of themes. The underlying theme is geekery, somehow I hope to relate all topics back to this. The thing that I would like to see is for this to be an interactive podcast. As the listener, if you would like to hear or not hear something, post something for us to acknowledge. Every listener and opinion counts to make this the best Damn podcast EVER!!
I would like to personally thank each of you who listens to this podcast. It is an interesting concept, broadcasting an opinion for all to hear, setting oneself up for scorn and critique. I do hope that you enjoy this as we move forward and that you look forward to each post.
