So like, these probably aren't the best movies of the year -- just our favorites. Our lists were created before any of us saw The Watch. Keep that in mind. Actually that has nothing to do with anything.

Sometimes listening to you guys is super frustrating cause I can't interject my thoughts and tell you guys how wrong you are!!
ReplyDeleteFirst off, Zo, Tim Burton did not do Coraline FYI and if you liked Hunger Games the movie so much you will love the book!! The book was 10 times more amazeballs than the movie!
Next 21 Jump Street is hilarious!! I keep trying to get Scott to rent it since I haven't seen it since the theater. Speaking of Scott, he is homo for Wes Anderson. Moonrise Kingdom was super good though. I loved the dialog and was laughing the whole time! Also, I need to correct that I did think Cabin in the Woods was scary...for the first 30 minutes then it's just ridiculously bloody awesome (still jumpy though). That one would definitely make it into my top this year because it was not what I was expecting at all.
As far as upcoming movies I don't think you guys are giving Baz the credit he deserves! He is awesome and The Great Gatsby will be extra Awesome! Especially cause Leo is in it. Also, Perks of Being a Wallflower will be a good one. The book is one of my all time favorites so the movie therefore is destined to be good.

i just wanted to say that yes Hunger Games was dumb. maybe it was all the positive talk about the books, maybe it was because i have a daughter who is starting to dress like Catnips, or maybe it was because ive seen Battle Royale but i think its pretty safe to say that all those things aside it would still say it was bad. the plot was minimal and the characters were one dimensional. i wish i had 4 hands so i could give that movie 4 thumbs down.
